  • Banks, and Non-banking financial institutions


Maximum Amount

  • For the Technology Credit Guarantees, KOTEC's maximum guarantee ceiling per company is 3 billion won. However, KOTEC can guarantee up to a maximum of 10 billion won in the following cases.
  • 1. Up to 5 billion won
  • - Guarantees to Industrial Research Cooperatives
    - Guarantees pertaining to technology value evaluated by Technology Appraisal Centers
    - Guarantees for buyer credit and credit card designated for purchase of law materials and services
    - Guarantees for technology-intensive SMEs that are designated by KOTEC
  • 2. Up to 7 billion won
  • - Guarantees for trade loans & SME's export loans from the Export-Import Bank of Korea
    - Guarantees for opening of L/C account to import raw materials for goods to be exported
    - Collateralized guarantees for E-commerce and contract performance guarantee for the technology-
       intensive companies designated by KOTEC
    - Collateralized guarantees for export bills and guarantees for redemption of the export bills
    - Guarantees for companies with excellent technologies and companies in green growth industries
       among KOTEC's focussed support areas
  • 3. Up to 10 billion won
  • - Guarantees for SME loans for Capital Expenditure such as plant, property, and equipment
       (precondition: the termination of guarantee contract immediately after banks' collateralization
       of the tangible assets)
       In case of partial termination of guarantees, the ceiling is fixed as 3 billion KRW per the same
       company (5 billion KRW for technology-intensive companies)

  • - Guarantee fees are normally charged according to company’s ratings, its total amount
       of guarantee used and its transaction period with us. These factors determine whether to add or
       deduct rates.
